Every digit stands for a planet. This factor looks at which planets crowd your number.
In Thai astrology every digit stands for one planet. One is อาทิตย์, the sun; two จันทร์, the moon; three อังคาร, Mars; four พุธ, Mercury; five พฤหัสบดี, Jupiter; six ศุกร์, Venus; seven เสาร์, Saturn; eight ราหู; nine เกตุ; and zero มฤตยู.
The texts divide the planets into ศุภเคราะห์, the benefics, and บาปเคราะห์, the malefics, and this factor looks at which side is denser in your number. What it measures is concentration, not friendship between planets — friendship is already counted in the คู่เลข, and counting it twice would give one factor more weight than it has.
There is one dispute we keep here rather than bury: เกตุ, the digit nine. Many texts decline to class it as a full benefic and call it a planet that takes its character from its neighbours. Nine appears in more than half of all Thai mobile numbers, so how this one digit is classified moves a great many people's scores, and we classify it the way the most widely published texts do.
The other thing worth saying is that we have not copied the system of the school that invented contextual planet reading. That is the work of a living author who sells it. We use only the benefic and malefic division that every basic text has in common.
