คู่เลข · the digit pairs
Two digits side by side, six pairs out of the last seven digits, and the factor that carries the most weight
คู่เลข — the digit pairs — are the heart of phone-number เลขศาสตร์. The principle is that two adjacent digits take on a meaning together, and that meaning is not the sum of the two digits but the relationship between the two planets they stand for.
We read the last seven digits, which gives six overlapping pairs. A number ending 1234567 gives 12, 23, 34, 45, 56 and 67. Notice that every digit except the first and the last is counted twice — once as the front of a pair, once as the back of the next one. This is the standard reading and the one most texts use.
The first three digits are dropped because they are the network prefix, not a part the owner chose. Giving 081 or 062 a meaning is giving a meaning to the operator you signed up with, not to you.
